DESCRIPTION INCLUDING MY COMMENTS ON THE WAY THE VELVET LOOKS AT VARIOUS ANGLES. IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT ANYTHING MESSAGE ME AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO HELP. I bought this handmade bag (and another one which is in photo 21 of a little cafe in Istanbul) while in Turkey last year from a charming little shop who makes them and whose business card is in photo 20.

These bags I refer to are like mine semi structured not like floppy book bags. If you want more information about the fabrics/traditional weaving/making of these bags etc I noticed some of the sellers go into this sort of detail. Please note that the pattern is not symmetrical on this bag.

When looking at a lot of them in Istanbul I noticed that some were symmetrical but many weren't. My other one in photo 21 is also non-symmetrical. This may bother some buyers.

The back of the bag is shown in photos 17 & 18. Measurements are : Width 16 inches. Handle Drop 6.5 inches.

I have tried to show it at different angles so you can see this. At some angles it even looks like there are darker "dirty" areas but it is all natural to the velvet and it is not dirty.

Please have a good look at the photos which show this. The bag may look very slightly bent at certain angles. My other one is the same. The handmade nature of the bags does not provide a factory finish. Another example of this is that the zip on the inside pocket looks a bit puckered (see photo 9) which I think is because of the thickness of the velvet and the zip works perfectly well. There is a magnetic closure button. Also see the handle in photo 13 where you can see that the inner part of the handle in the left is slightly pushed up. I know this is a tiny thing & you might never notice it if I hadn't pointed it out but these things can bother some buyers. One final thing (full disclosure) : these bags normally have plastic on the handles but I removed the plastic when I bought it as I didn't want the velvet to "sweat" However it is brand new and has genuinely never been used.
